Steelers Win Super Bowl XLIII
Football history was made in Tampa yesterday as the Pittsburgh Steelers became the most succesful franchise in modern day football history, winning their 6th Lombardi trophy, the first team to do so. The Steelers knocked off the upstart Arizona Cardinals 27-23 in a game that see-sawed back and forth in the final quarter before the Steeltown men won it with a sensational final drive.I realize it’s at this point that I usually come up with, in my mind at least, some sort of witty remark, but, you see, I am a die-hard Steelers fan and my brain is somewhat dulled by the excessive amounts of alcohol imbibed during yesterdays game. Normal service will resumed when the Alka -Seltzer finally takes hold.
